Some time ago I had the opportunity to visit my old Primary school. That was 45 years ago. From a child's perspective, which was my perspective then, everything seemed enormous. and overpowering. Remembering, there was over 30 boys in the classroom at that time. The classroom then looked huge. And yet now 45 years later as an adult everything seems so tiny compared to what I remember. The only difference, the classroom now had an electronic blackboard linked to the internet, we didn't have that back then, was the internet even invented then, don't think so. Even the schoolyard seemed way smaller than I remember. 100's of boys running and playing.
The point I'm making is that when we are in the thick of things, it all seems perhaps daunting, much bigger than it really is. Maybe even overpowering and feeling lost. 45 years later, I was an adult visiting my school. I wasn't that shy, blond-headed boy anymore. I felt powerful and in control. A different perspective is possible, it may takes years and yet it is still possible. I didn't know back 45 years ago that 45 years later, I am that person that I am right now. Life experience can provide you with the tools to change your life for the good.
